UAV Workstation Design
Engineering Psychology Project
Keywords: Human Factors, Task Analysis, Design Standards and Principles
This project focused on designing the workstation for large submarine-detection unmanned aerial vehicles. Even with some previous knowledge about workstation design, this particular field was still a challenge for the team.
Throughout half of the semester, the team and I put a lot of effort into task analysis to try to fully understand the design requirements. Each week, the design would get critics in class and then go through another round of iteration.
The final deliverable contains a recommended layout for the workstation, layout and interaction paradigms of the screens, and the alternative displays.
My job in the team: I worked with other team members on task analysis, designed a major part of the screens and the project demo poster.
